Pathetic

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

This government is really pathetic.
Imagine looking into filing charges against the students who heckled the president during the Cavite State University graduation? Talk about strong arm tactics to supress those kids.
Hay naku talaga, ibang klase. They can get so petty sometimes it’s unbelievable, honestly they’re acting like kids in a playground. BWISIT!

Ah sweet democracy.
It’s a good thing the PSG didn’t get wind of her plan or she might have received a piece of kamagong instead of her diploma.

Just a few minutes into the President’s speech, the student, Maria Theresa Pangilinan, shouted “Patalsikin si (Oust) Gloria” while holding up a red banner with the words “No to Chacha.” A member of the Presidential Security Group and two security guards of the university immediately went to where Pangilinan was sitting and confiscated the banner.from Inq7.net

Why ride a Vespa?

Monday, April 10th, 2006

A question in the Euroscoot forum had me thinking…..why ride a Vespa?
This was my answer….

A Vespa is an excellent choice for a daily rider.
Rebuilding a Vespa shouldn’t be too hard, specially if it’s a px. the px engine is one of the sturdiest around. It would take a lot to damage it beyond repair.
Parts are readily available and 2211 has the expertise to bring it together.

My own px has been bringing me all over town and beyond for 2 straight years now. It has clocked more than 12000 kilometers of mostly city riding and the occasional out of town adventure. I have had it tuned up a grand total of 3 times during this period and truthfully never felt any difference in the engines performance when i did.

You can never go wrong with a vespa.

It may cost more than the average scoot to get up and running but when it does, you’ll find out you’ll be spending less because it breaks down ever so rarely.

Plus chicks dig the spare wheel! hehe

I guess that says it all ;)

Bataan Day

Sunday, April 9th, 2006

MLQ has a wonderful piece about Bataan Day.

I never fail to remind my children how many people gave up their lives to protect and build this great country of ours. I hope, in this day and age of cheap information, the lessons of the past will never be forgotten since this is the fabric of which we Filipinos are truly made of.

Mabuhay ang mga bayaning Pilipino.
Mabuhay ang mamamayang Pilipino.
Mabuhay ang Pilipinas.
