Got this shocking news from my FB page from Wawel's brother Gabe.
On behalf of my sister in law Mila and my niece Therese, I ask you to pray for the eternal rest of my brother EMMANUEL 'WAWEL' MERCADO (December 8, 1966 - July 11, 2012).
Wawel was a devoted husband, loving father, thoughtful son, protective brother, hero and inspiration to many who knew him. He led an exceptional life.
His untimely death pains us, but his legacy of selfless love will be with us forever.
Wake will be at Mount Carmel Parish Church, New Manila, starting at 7 this evening.
And yes, I just copy pasted this from my brother Robbi Mercado's post. But he will forgive me, given the circumstances.
