Last saturday, dinaanan ako ni embryo and invited me to ride to their place in angono. Nagkita-kita kami nila joneighbors and skunk doon. Kasama din nilang nagve-vespa si totong, apo ni Botong Francisco. Sabi ni anaklupa, ang paintings daw ni Botong costs millions! (baka meron ka nito anaklupa? hehe)

Ang ganda nung place. Kakatapos lang umulan noon, so the weather was really cool and  ang sarap uminom! The Angono boys shared a lot of facts about their place. It's an artists' haven, lots of our national artists came from there. Actually, dami namin kasamang artists na umiinom din. So, not surprisingly, dami din museums and other things to see. 

Napag usapan lang namin regarding the round-ups. There have been round-ups in Makati, Pasig, and quezon City. Sana magkarun din ng vespa round up sa Angono pero on a Saturday afternoon. Or maybe Friday night? Para walang trabaho the next day.

Place is not really far. Around 15mins ride coming from Tikling, on Ortigas Ave Extn.

Sabi nga ni joneighbors, ipapatikim daw niya yung specialty nila, pritong itik! kasabay ng malamig na beer!

Bumalik kami ni bert last sunday para tikman yung pritong itik...hayun wala pa din! Pero spider dog meron kaming nakita! Nyahahahaha!

Pagpaplanuhan naming mabuti kung saan tayo pwedeng pumwesto at kung saan pwedeng pumasyal at kumain. maraming pwedeng gawin, pwedeng mag rizal short ride para may konting piga at mag lunch afterwards. Pwede din mag art gallery/museum hopping para makakita ng konting artworks, or mag salu-salo at uminom. You decide. Walang problema sa fried itik at beer. Sagot na namin yon. :D

Eto kami nakatambay sa The Second Gallery in Angono (art gallery ni carlos "totong" francisco II) Dyan din ang bahay ni Botong Francisco, National artist. Dito kami nag iinom ng mga kaibigang artists at mga scooter buddies.

Nabigla ako dito. Isip pa lang ako pwesto na mismo meron na pa lang naka-post.

Guys suggest lang sa pwesto, Banana Hemp na lang para pwede tayo magluto. Pwede rin sa Scrapyard resort kaya lang di ko alam kung pwede magpasok ng alak.

totoo yan ser, alam nyo ba kung bakit banana hemp ang tawag sa lugar? banana hemp ang pangalaan nung lugar na pinag iinuman namin dito sa angono, kaya tinawag na banana hemp yun dahil isang malaking lote yon na may mga sagingan, taniman ng saging at may mga kubo. tambayan ng mga artists.(yung hemp naman, its up to you to figure out hehe) ;D ;D

Ayan guys, may mga sasagot na ng tanghalian natin, may mga sasagot na rin ng beer, pag nag ka-bitinan, madali na yon. Sa mga adventurous kumain, magdadala at papatikimin ko kayo ng Balaw-balaw isa itong local exotic delicacy dito. sarap katerno nito sa sinigang at pritong isda. Magpapaluto ako kay ermat. Masarap ito pag bagong luto. ;)

Mga vespinoys,
Pag-uusapan at pag-paplanuhan naming mga Angono boys ang gagawing Angono Round Up. Mag a-assign kami bawat isa sa amin kung ano ang dadalin at ihahanda namin. may mga nagre-rekwes ng sinigang na bangus sa miso, sinampalukang manok, balaw-balaw, fried itik, atbp. Kami na ang bahala dun, kanya kanyang toka na kami dun. May sasagot din ng beer at kung sakaling kulangin, madali na yun. Aayusin din namin kung saan ang magandang pwesto natin na may parking at ok na place para sa ating salu-salo. We will make some calls sa mga possible venue of gathering.

I will post here kung ano man ang mabuo namin.

Its the Angono Meet Up - Round Up Day!!!

Date: Saturday, July 14, 2007

Meeting place:
Shell Gasoline Station Julia Vargas/ C5

8:00 am to 9:00 am
Meet up time/Assembly
You can have coffee or breakfast here at the gas station while waiting.
(embryo, joneighbors & bertcontrol will be there to meet you)

9:00 am
Ride n' Roll papuntang Angono.
(embryo, joneighbors & bertcontrol will be there to lead the way on the ride to Angono)

Suggested route will be:
U-turn from C5/Julia Vargas, right turn to Sandoval Bridge, then turn to Stella Maris St., then right to Javier St. crossing Javier Bridge, then right turn to Floodway Eastbank Road then right to Lakeside Road going straight to Angono.

Another route may also be:
U-turn from C5/Julia Vargas, right turn to Ortigas Ave. Extension straight to Tikling Junction, right turn to Manila East Road Highway straight to Angono. (kaso medyo matrapik dito)

9:45 to 10:00 am
Arrival in Angono

1st stop:   
Nemiranda Arthouse & Gallery
Viewing of paintings and other artworks inside the artist's studio and at the gallery.
(This gallery charges a very minimal entrance fee, so in case na singilin tayo, KKB na lang po. :-))

2nd stop:
Balaw-Balaw Restaurant & Art Gallery (just a few meters away from Nemiranda Arthouse)
Viewing of paintings, sculptures, murals and other artworks inside the restaurant and at the Gallery. Kung gusto nyo, pwedeng magpalamig dito for some drinks & refreshments, Masarap at tempting ang pagkain dito, This is the restaurant that serves local and exotic food, pero hindi tayo dito kakain, May nakahanda kaming lunch para sa atin pag stop natin later in the tour. :-)

3rd stop:
The Second Gallery / National Artist Carlos "Botong" Francisco's Residence & Art Studio
This is the art gallery of Totong Francisco, (passaggio) the grandson of Botong, some of his artworks are displayed here. Makikita rin ang ilan sa mga gamit ni Botong dito, pati na ang kanyang studio kung saan sya nagpipinta.
(Walang entrance fee dito. Bahay ito. Ancestral house ng Francisco family ito.)

4th stop:
The Blanco Family Museum
Viewing of Blanco family paintings inside their gallery/museum.
(This gallery/museum charges a minimal entrance fee, so in case na singilin tayo, KKB na lang po :-))

5th stop:
The Haunted Kubo
After all the gallery hopping, we will arrive here at The Haunted Kubo at approximately 12:00 noon, so dito tayo kakain ng lunch. Areglado na ang lunch natin dito (sagot na ng Angono boys). Kainan na!!!
(This place is provided for us by Passaggio, The Haunted Kubo is a small and old resthouse/ kubo in a spacious fenced yard under big mango trees. We can safely park our scoots inside the yard as we eat and drink on a long table right beside them. :-))

Based on some requests, eto ang lunch natin:

Sinigang na bangus sa miso (c/o passaggio)
Sinampalukang manok (c/o embryo)
Inihaw na liempo (c/o embryo)
Ginisang balaw-balaw with talong (c/o skunk)
Spicy Kalderetang itik (c/o skunk)

(Yung ibang gustong mag contribute o magdala ng iba pang pagkain o inumin, sige lang, Go!

Pagkatapos ng masarap na tanghalian, Serbesa na!!!
We can stay here as long as we want for the rest of the day! :-)

Ito ang nabuo at napagkasunduan namin para naman hindi sayang ang punta ninyo sa aming munting bayan ng Angono, nais naming maging makabuluhan ito at umaasang may maiuwi kayong munti at magagandang alaala, kwento at karanasan mula dito. Kaya ito ang aming naging suhestiyon na nais naming ilatag sa inyo, mala- "Educational Tour" ang Angono Round Up na ito! : )

Kaya sa mga Vespakislap dyan na gustong sumama, halina kayo! At huwag kalimutan ang inyong Pakislap Gear! Interesante ang Round Up na ito! Shoot lang nang shoot!!

yung mga hindi makakasama ng umaga pwede namang humabol na lang din sa tanghalian at inuman, pwedeng dumerecho na lang dun sa "Kubo". madali naman matunton yon. lets keep our communications line open. Sir from eastwood take the road going to manggahan floodway (dun sa may IDS logistics). Pag nasa floodway ka na, diretso lang. Tapos you will come across with 2 bridges (Javier & Barkadahan). Diretso ka lang, lampasan mo. Pagkalampas mo sa Barkadahan bridge mga 1KM turn left (yun naman byahe ng mga jeep and fx). Diretso ulit, sa dulo may Y road, turn right ka sa baytown road. Sundan mo lang daan, sa dulo turn right. Tapos may makita ka na Meralco. Sunduin ka na lang namin dun. Txt ka lang sa number namin posted earlier in this thread pag andun ka na.

Napag usapan lang namin regarding the round-ups. There have been round-ups in Makati, Pasig, and quezon City. Sana magkarun din ng vespa round up sa Angono pero on a Saturday afternoon. Or maybe Friday night? Para walang trabaho the next day.

Place is not really far. Around 15mins ride coming from Tikling, on Ortigas Ave Extn.

Sabi nga ni joneighbors, ipapatikim daw niya yung specialty nila, pritong itik! kasabay ng malamig na beer!

In order for us angono boys to easily smoothen things out for this gathering, we encourage all those who will be attending to make yourselves listed so that we'll be able to calculate the exact numbers and be able to seamlessly prepare all the things we need for this event.

Suggestion lang po mga riders from Makati, South, Manila etc. You guys might want to meet up at Petron Buendia cor Makati ave. just in front of Pacific Star bldg. then we ride together going to Shell J Vargas. everything was beautiful. everything was great although me konting ambon nung umaga, pero the whole thing was great. good company, good food, cold beers, loud music, almost everything was there except naked women hehehe.
maraming salamat din sa vespinoy and ke bos john rana for posting the event. to bos rico and papa dennis for the freebies.  thank you din inyong share sa ating beer bank. a party is not aparty without some booze!. and also i would like to mention bong neighbors for giving us jamaican pizzas. and also thank you din sa lahat dahil na enjoy nyo ang neighbors. i was so wasted that day, it was great  ;D.
me part 2 sigurado tayo, we dont know when pero sigurado masaya ulit tayo lahat. good food, cold beers, live music and maybe some more sa part 2.

Ako na lang sa grupo di pa nakapagpasalamat. Bad trip yung mga internet cafe sa amin, haba mga pila ng mga young boys playing network games.

Anyways, maraming salamat po sa lahat sa pag-suporta sa ating event. Salamat sa lahat for the donations and raffle prizes. Yung appreciation ng lahat ay nakapagpataba ng puso naming lahat. Siguradong mauulit ito.

tama ka Randy, the Angono meet up has set a benchmark, mahirap tapatan yun! it was food for the soul and our empty stomach.  btw, the San Pablo duo rode an eastern round-the-world trip in a span of 6hours (ata), talk about records set on that day!

Correction on my part, the san pablo dynmic duo was was enjo and jojo! Let's do this again!!! So many Vespas!!! in one place! Real nice specially when everyone started to loosen up and had genuine fun. Party on people! ;D
