is this a good scoot? any pros and cons? any reviews from previous owners?
-
great scoot bry! ...had one before... i like the boot! .. para kang may trunk (parang sa kotse, may light pa) hehe...
if you could find a stock hexagon, ok yan! .. but a modified one medyo malakas sa gas.. yung nakamalossi block yun ah... gas guzzler hehe
-
Sarap!
Smooth auto with very comfortable seats. stock 180cc version, inspite of (or maybe because of) a/t, will likely outrun a stock PX150.
Adjustable rear shocks, large boot, stock halogens, tubeless tires and front disc brakes are definite assets.
Precursor of (and similar to) the X9 without the high price tag and problematic digital gauges.
-
Very nice... Body same like the X9 with the speed of a Runner. Must be a winner.
-
Had the 150LX and the 180cc. Both were very good scooters. But I had aftermarket suspension systems in both since the stock system tend to dip. The available suspension systems are Bitubo (MCS) and Malossi (Access Plus).
-
@direkkey,
how does the aftermarket suspensions differ from the stock shocks? and usually how much does it cost?
@lex,
how's the fuel consumption in terms of km/liter - city drive?
I've seen a Hexagon for sale and hopefully acquire it as soon as I raise the money within the week. just wanted to get some info from you guys about the scoot.
thanks in advance

Worlds apart. They are at about 30k/pair.
-
yep yep.. malossi shocks are nice! ... ganda ng handling...
yung hex ko, 150 cc fitted with a 172cc malossi block, 24mm card... tulin! ... but consumption around 9-10 km per liter only... stock engine around more than double the kms/liter i presume...

wow! P30k! hmmm...i guess the price says it all..yep yep.. malossi shocks are nice! ... ganda ng handling...

so with a stock engine, fuel consumption is still economical, considering its a 180cc 2-stroke..
another query, have you guys experienced any overheating incidents with the scoot?
thanks

It has a built it sensor to activate the auxilliary fan when it hits the warning levels. The Hexagon is quite notorius when it comes to activating the fan more so in traffic situations. The secret is to always make sure that the sender is working properly.
-
thanks direkyey

Finally got my own hexagon yesterday..
sa sobrang excitement ndi nakatulog over the weekend..hehehe.. ;D
tanong ko lang kung ano gamit nyo or recommended nyo na Gear Oil and 2t Oil?
Thanks in advance
-
hello patvill, congratulations own your new steed! anyway, for your gear oil, you can use the SAE 80 or 90 gear oil. that is the grade of oil recommended. i hope i helped you on your inquiry.
-
about the 2T, any will do but i suggest to use full synthetic oil. better lubrication and less smoke.
-
thanks a lot scootmd for that info..
-
congrats patvil...what model did you get for your self? the hex 150cc or the hex LXT 180cc?
pix naman....
-

RE: HEXAGON BADGES OR STICKERS
Guys,
would you have spares or you know where to get these things coz the unit i got doesn't have them? thanks
-
patvil,
i had a really good computer cut hexagon decal made years ago. ask nani of 2211 if they can still order for you, it's really cool.

Hey Patvil. I think I was the first owner of that scoot. I regretted selling that one. Congrats!

Really? I'll just take care of it for you..Thanks :)

Chrome center stand and brake levers? Clear top coat over orig paint? Got that from Velocci 3 years ago. What's the name on registration? That's a great ride. Sarap sa long ride. Walang pagod.
-
chrome nga..top coat yes, kaya lang missing na ung mga "Hexagon" decals nya..
Joelito Paden ung nasa C.R. nya..
I'll use it this holyweek pag ride ng grupo..
-
That's it! Kulang-kulang na yung decals nung nakuha ko. Nakahuyan na. That baby was in the Velocci warehouse for years. Walang pumapansin. Pina-detalye ko't pina-topcoat kay Lito Blanco. 8km lang tinatakbo nung kinuha ko. I think Velocci sold it to the guy under whose name it was registered, pero di yata kinuha. :) Anyway, if you're in the Makati area tonight, stop by Cyrano. May tambay mamaya. Free wine. Bring your new baby. Details here...

-
sir patvil... thanks for the info :D is that the 10th ave in caloocan? how much do you think metzeller would cost? i heard its around 2k+ too... if that is the case which is better? pirelli or metzeller? help pls! my tires are metz and i need to replace my rear tire... :-[
-
you can call them at this no. 364-3652..not sure about the cost of the metz..
can't compare the two coz i've only used pirelli..hth
-
You can also call Exceed Motors, in Caloocan also. I buy all my tires from them. They also mount it for you. Owner used to own a Vespa so I feel better going to him. He also has in stock those nice Motul fully synthetic 2T.
I know it's a long way from the south but the trip will be worth it.

if you have a chance to join the round-ups, i think a lot of vespinoys will gladly help you on your queries. alternatively, why don't you start a thread on this and list down whatever questions you have.
-
stealth assassin -
for long rides, you need:
a full-face helmet
body armor - a jacket or mesh vest with shoulder, elbow and back protection
knee and shin guards
full-finger gloves, may be either hard or soft knuckle protection (leather is best)
riding shoes or boots

Just wondering, is the Hex still with you and for sale? Thanks.
