need some enlightenment on why is it lately that im having difficulty in shifting back to neutral before i kill the engine on a deluxe lml? do i need gearbox maintenance?thanks scooterists

Check your shifter cables for proper tension. If theres a slack, you will find it a bit difficult to shift to neutral. If its too tight, you'll shift over to 3rd even when you're trying to shift to 2nd or neutral to 2nd and so on. You can just adjust the cable adjuster screw to get the right tension.

Yes, clutch plates could also the cause. Based on my experience, worn out clutch lining exhibits the same symptoms as well.

thanks skunk and doomzday, i checked the cables and voila, 2 strands remaining attached near the nipple area ooops...good thing short trips lang ako lately, and was able to replace it last night. thanks guys for the outputs, ty to alvin of YC. more power vespanatics.
