“the option to be non political for the CBCP has turned out to be an option to sell out. Why not take a stand for what’s wrong or what’s right. Majority of us here know that what PGMA did was wrong, but you, our, sheperds in the community tell us to pray and discern. I think even our Lord God would recognize all of our discerning and praying the past few weeks. Those of us with families to think of, legal interests to protect and real, tangible people and situations to lose. Most of us have recognized the wrong which has been done. We do not need to be learned leaders of the community as well as the clergy to know what act was wrong or barely right. There is such a thing as common sense and common love for the truth that so blindingly shows the truth, no matter how hard it may seem.
Pardon me for the rambling Jove, you know and understand what my position on this has been from the start, but apathy, among our common citizens, has been the eroding factor of this exercise. I do not pretend to be a saint of the processes of the establishment but I have been through too much and felt too bad to let this one slip by too easy.
It pains me to think that we, as a people, couldn’t care less where we will end up because the options are dim. As for me and my family, I will stay true to my conviction that something wrong needs to be righted to restore the balance of the country.
