Tony Benn “Sicko” Excerpt
Let me stray from scooters a bit.
I first saw this clip of the interview with British socialist politician Tony Benn in Michael Moore’s 2007 documentary “Sicko“. The interview was about the British National Health Service (NHS). But there was a part of his interview which felt as if he was talking about the way things are run in the Philippines.
It’s the part where he talks about democracy and choice. I have attached a video of the relevant portion of the interview.
If the video isn’t playing above, try this link.
Hoping for the best, isn’t that what we’ve been doing a lot lately?

Education system in our country is among the least priorities of the present or even the past government as may opposed to what they say that it is given value. The evidence always show as to what kind of generation this country produce. As Tony mentioned, educated, healthy and confident people are not the kind of voters people in power needs. They rather keep them frigthened, demoralized and hungry for them to remain poor and trade offs remain in a much manageable level.
tsk,tsk…
