Ride. Rest. Repeat.

From Dimplez to Sarge!

i still often stop and remember dimplez. how she introduced me in this world of scootering, i didn’t know that she got me infected with the vespa virus until i got one! since then i was bitten by the vespa bug!

dimplez brought me from one place to another. also with her, my girlfriend enjoyed travel. hang-outs used to be in total gas station in filinvest alabang, guys from diffrent clubs come in at around 10pm. we get a couple of beers, cigarettes and just chat ’till it was time to go home (like 3am!) hahaha! funny thing is, everytime we meet, anytime, anyhow all we talk about are vespas, vespas, vepas. it has been like than since then and we riders seem to be enjoying the whole genre’.

going back (in a flash!): i got her on may 27. 2002 accuired from a guy in las pinas who bought it a year earlier. i had a few ‘clutch-getting-used-to’ before i drove it home that 2am the same day! fastrack: then i met my friends from euroscoot s.c. and where i became a member 5 months after. since then, i have my share of travel on two-wheels! dimplez was on white side wall insterts & an italian racing green body. with this color, all she’s been to was in real quezon and the longest.. banaue & nueva vizcaya. then a year after, she turned 2-tone! we rode the usual quezon trip and the caba la union – vigan ride! she was green on the inside white on the outside. then another year she became the first of her kind! CARBONIO. gun metal grey but flat. smooth flat. with that color she’s gone to pangasinan and in bicol, aside from the usual quezon real ride.. than finally, camouflage. the last ride we had was the manila-la union-vigan-baguio-manila ride. where i became sargeant from corporal the next day! how? well, it’s only for the few who were there..

i sold her may this year and believe me, travelling has never been harder!

after four months of tiring commute, i have accuired another VESPA PX150 (1998)… SARGE!
