2StrokeBuzz, one of the leading online scooter resources in the world, recently reported about “two prototype hybrid scooters” manufactured by Piaggio being tested in Milan. Here’s a quote from an Agenzia Giornalistica Italia (agi.it) article which reported on the collaboration between the city of Milan and scooter manufacturer Piaggio.

Piaggio and the Council of the City of Milan decided to launch a collaboration via the setting up of a meeting table “that – reads a statement – is to operate over the span of a year in order to check and study certain proposed applications that lead to the use of two wheeled transport with a nil or very low environmental impact”. ..lin to the entire report here.

The two vespa models being tested are the VESPA LX50 HyS and the X8 125 4-stroke HyS.
