Heads up to John “Fancy Moves” Rana for this news and photos. Vespa Sout Africa has released the winners for the 2006 Art Vespa, a contest which requires you to design a Vespa LX based on templates you can download from the Vespa South Africa website.

The flavor of this years winners seems to be simplicity. The 3rd design looks like something I designed for my first PX years ago which never pushed through. But a huge round of applause has to be given to the winner whose “Chicken” inspired design really takes the cake. Anyone who can see a chicken when looking at a Vespa has my vote!

And not to be outdone, our good buddy John, utterly disregarding the fact that he doesn’t reside in South Africa also entered the contest with this stunning beauty….

Great job!! Next year maybe we can design a Seiko Wallet Vespa or a YC Bikini Brief Vespa too!! Give them a little bit of Pinoy flavor….w00t!
