With the news of the Stella’s demise hitting our shores a few months back. It’s good to hear that LML will be resume operations again in 2 months.
We decided to start the factory on our own. We have large export orders for two-wheelers. We propose to make two-wheelers, 150-cc, NV model, an old model of ours, for export only. Once we start production, we will be the only producer of this model in the world. The initial plan is to make about 10,000 scooters a month, for which we have export orders. We do not plan to make motor cycles now
This is a good sign for the local Vespa scene. The Vitto, a variant of LML’s scooter line, like Genuine’s Stella, is enjoying brisk sales here ever since the local distributors of Piaggio ran out of Vespa PX 200’s for sale. And with the announcement of the EOL of the PX200, the few remaining units for sale, mostly 2nd hand, have suddenly appreciated making them just too darned expensive for us ordinary folks.
Another company out to gain from this is Yellow Cab Pizza who has been using a mixture of old and new Italian and Indian Vespas for their delivery service. The restarting of production of the LML “Vespa” line ensures that both parts and units will be readily available to Yellow Cab’s ever growing fleet of scooters.
And that my friend is all good for the community.

As always, kudos to 2StrokeBuzz.Com for the heads-up.
